Join ICRW and Pathfinder International for a briefing on the issue of international child marriage, with expert testimony from researchers and non-governmental agencies. The event is co-hosted by Rep. Betty McCollum, co-chair of the Global Health Caucus; and Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on Women’s Issues Taskforce on International Issues; and co-sponsored by the Global Health Caucus and the Congressional Human Rights Caucus.

Challenges of Reducing HIV-Related Stigma in Targeted Interventions for India: A Call to Action
ICRW, with Engender Health is organizing a half-day seminar, “Challenges of Reducing HIV-Related Stigma in the Targeted Interventions Context in India: A Call to Action.” The half-day meeting will focus on how HIV-related stigma and discrimination and gender and sexuality intersect and influence each other in the context of targeted interventions for HIV and AIDS in India.

The event will serve as a platform to share experiences in reducing HIV-related stigma and discrimination with different populations and in diverse settings. The outcome of the meeting will culminate in a Call-to-Action statement that will include recommendations from the participants to address stigma and gender-based violence, targeted interventions, innovative research and program models, and creating and strengthening partnerships between communities, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), government and donors in India.
