Saluting Champions for Change, ICRW’s Champions for Change Gala – held on the eve of International Women’s Day – has become Washington’s signature event to celebrate the possibilities of a gender equitable world and to shine a light on the leaders and visionaries who are helping make it a reality.

Please join other distinguished guests from industry, government, the diplomatic corps, nongovernmental organizations, academic and scientific communities, and the media for an evening of celebration featuring a reception, dinner and awards program.

Wednesday, March  4, 2009
6:30 p.m.
Union Station
Washington, D.C.

Principal Sponsor: Goldman Sachs

The 2009 gala will highlight the theme of economic empowerment – a timely topic as the world begins to appreciate that women are the economic engines of growth. Please join us as we salute true Champions for Change: an exemplary individual, Lloyd Blankfein, chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and a non-governmental organization (TBA) who, through their policies, programs and partnerships, are promoting investments in women and girls.
